P(Phosphorus) | 0.045% |
CE(Carbon equivalent) | 0.40% |
Mechanical Requirement OF AS 1074 Carbon Steel Pipe
2.1 PROCESS OF MANUFACTURE. Tubes may be either welded or seamless.
2.2 MATERIAL. Steel pipe production should be made of steel with a sulfur content of no more than 0.045% and a phosphorus content of no more than 0.045%. The carbon equivalent, as determined by the subsequent formula, should remain below 0.4: The selected pipe shall be cut out and its length or shape shown according to the AS 1391 standard |
AS 1074 Carbon Steel Pipe Testing
Nondestructive Testing:
Ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, X-ray testing.
Hydraulic Pressure Test:
The pressure value depends on the size and design requirements of the steel pipe.
Bending Test:
The steel pipe is usually tested at 90 degrees.
Final Inspection Before Delivery:
Check the diameter, wall thickness, batch number, packaging, etc.
