What is box-shaped steel column & beam:
 
Box-shaped column is welded by four steel plates, and the manufacturing process is basically the same as that of the welded H-shaped steel. Welded steel box beam and box column is widly used in the steel structure proejct. Compared with H-shaped steel column has only one strong axis, box column is a strong axis in the X and Y directions, and a stiffening plate at the node, a strong node domain is formed, and the force condition is superior to that of the rolled H-beam. We could fabricate it in many ways or as your request. Here we will show you one of the fabriation method.

How to fabricate steel box beam & box column:
 

1. Firstly, the above cover plate is used as the assembly reference, and the partition plate and the side web assembly line are respectively released on the assembly surface according to the construction drawing requirements, and the sample punching mark is used.

2. First assemble the upper cover and the partition, and assemble them on the tire mold. After assembly, the welding must be completed before proceeding to the next process.

3. Before the web is assembled, the flatness of the web must be checked. When assembling, the assembly should be assembled in one direction. First, the middle stiffener is positioned, and then the web is positioned.

4. The whole assembly of the box structure is completed after the U-shaped structure is completed. First, the edge of the U-shaped structure web is corrected to make the unevenness <L/1000, and then the web assembly positioning line is released on the lower cover, and the U-shaped is inverted. Structural assembly, using one direction assembly, positioning spot welding using symmetric welding method.

5. The last side of the separator is welded by electroslag pressure welding, and electroslag pressure welding is used for special equipment.

Remarks: It can be processed according to the drawings and can meet the processes of shot blasting, punching, stiffening (joining board), painting and so on;
